THIS GYM WILL TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY — AND IT’S NOT JUST THE CARDIO

May 15, 2021

The Hub50House Gym serves up top-of-the-line equipment and stunning views.

Hop onto the Peloton bike at The Gym at Hub50House, and let’s see what will take your breath away first — the workout or the views? Our guess is the latter because this is no ordinary ride.

From your vantage point on the saddle, 15 floors above street level, nothing separates you from the skies than walls of glass. Floor-to-ceiling windows stretch across three sides of this radiant space — and the bike sits right at the intersection of where north meets west. See the Zakim Bridge? Yes, how could you not? Cambridge, the Charles River, the Harbor, Charlestown, downtown Boston — it’s all down below.

So, this is what being on top of the world feels like.

This fitness center comes with a complimentary adrenaline rush. Whether you’re doing intervals on the treadmill, working the elliptical, climbing the stairmaster, or revving to a live Peloton class, the sweeping views lend an exhilarating top-of-the-world feel.

The Gym is just one of the standouts at Hub15, the 14,000-square-foot amenity floor, which also includes spaces like The Living Room with an adjoining chef’s kitchen (check out the Viking appliances and skyline views), The SHHHH! Room, The Den, The Game Room, and The Business Center with glass-enclosed private work pods.

An espresso, and you’re off.

How about making a morning pit stop at the Hub15 Coffee Bar for a shot of Long Espresso before heading off to The Gym? Here’s what you will find as you enter:

Straight ahead: a wall of glass, a full row of Technogym aerobic equipment. To your right: racks, free weights, plate-loaded equipment, a Free Anchor system for weight and suspension training, and, of course, more floor-to-ceiling windows, capturing the Boston skyline and beyond. To your left: The Studio — let’s head in.

A studio built for your favorite workout.

For all our residents who want on-demand classes, The Studio is equipped with Nexersys and Wellbeats virtual fitness trainers. Select the type of workout you’re in the mood for, from fast-paced and challenging (sparring on the Nexersys N3, anyone?) to low-intensity and centering (try a Wellbeats recovery class). Between the two machines, you have hundreds of classes at your fingertips — you can’t lose.

Prefer to do your own thing? Try spin bikes, yoga mats, Bosu balls, and other resistance equipment to get your blood pumping. Or, TRX Suspension Training is designed to give you a total body workout by making gravity your resistance. Download with the TRX app for personalized exercise videos and connect to your wearables for advanced feedback.

The best part of the Hub50House gym? Motivating for a workout is all the easier when the views are this breathtaking. Which is a good thing — since you’ll be lounging by the SkyPool all summer. In fact, a post-workout dip sounds like just the thing…
