Don’t Miss Historic Boston Marathon

April 11, 2022

The 126th Boston Marathon will kick off Monday, April 18!

On race day, tens of thousands of participants will begin the famous marathon. Though registration closed in November, there are plenty of reasons your family should be spectators at the event! The Boston Marathon, first run in 1897, is the world’s oldest annual marathon. It ranks as one of the most prestigious road racing events and is hosted and managed by The Boston Athletic Association. The course follows a point-to-point route from rural Hopkinton to Boston. There is plenty of space every mile on the course for fans to gather and cheer on runners. The MBTA is a good way to get around the course, and it is also your best best for seeing runners at multiple spots. Be sure to download the B.A.A. Racing App to track runners who you want to spot on the course, even some celebrities! Live local coverage will also take place on WBZ-TV, and live national TV coverage on the USA Network.

Don’t miss one of Boston’s biggest annual events!
